WHAT OUR HOTELS WERE

SOMEWHERE SPECIAL, SOMEWHERE DIFFERENT

Looking for boutique hotels, luxury hotels, hotels with spas? You'll find them all on this unique website - and all are hotels that stand out from the crowd. What makes them special is what makes them different: each has a past that's unique, a present that's packed with character, and an appeal that's every bit as individual as you are. That's why it's our pleasure to present these distinctive hotels.

THREE OF A KIND: Outdoor Hot Tubs

Could there be a better way to unwind?

As if it weren’t good enough to immerse yourself in warm water, at just the right temperature. With a stream of bubbles delivering a targeted take-it-or-leave it massage. And more bubbles rising in a glass that’s not an arm’s length away. You could, at the same time, be star-gazing or watching wild creatures being... well... wild, in their natural habitat.

Sounds like gift-wrapped bliss, doesn’t it?

Unwrap it at an HTWN hotel in a scenic, unspoilt location, and wait until dark. Or time a soak-your-cares-away session to catch the sunset and maybe the first star, or to see the moon rise. Against a velvet-black night you might even glimpse a shooting star.

The Samling sits in splendid isolation on its own 67-acres estate, on the shore of Lake Windermere. The hot tub shown above is there. Don’t you wish you were? Talking of stars, the hotel is known for its fine-dining restaurant, which this year was awarded a Michelin star. Another good reason for going.

There’s a water’s-edge hot tub at Padaste Manor in Estonia, too: it’s filled with seawater. The manor, a once-feudal estate dating from the 1200s, is on an island in the Baltic, facing a bay where sea eagles soar and migrating birds drop in at the reed beds. Wild boar and moose are often spotted...

At New Park Manor, a former Royal hunting lodge deep in the New Forest, you can sink into a six-seater, Canadian cedar hot tub on an outdoor deck overlooking the paddocks which encircle the hotel. You’re almost sure to spot deer and ponies, probably a fox, too, and there’s also plenty of bird-life.

Go on, get away – and enjoy your stay!

Wouldn’t you rather soak somewhere really special?
